Avoid this watch and this selling platform it’s a complete fraud. First, they charge £17 for “international delivery” to UK that takes 3–4 weeks to arrive. Second, there’s clearly been a data protection breach: I’ve received around 100 random scam phone calls and even Lithuanian Post email scans claiming a parcel was on its way. Third, customer service is nonexistent. They’ve ignored me for two weeks across all channels email, social media, everything making it impossible to return the product. There is no real refund or return option, despite what they claim. They also lie about replying within 24 hours. It’s been weeks. As for the watch itself: it’s built like a T-34 tank for Ivan heavy, rough, and with sharp machining marks on the back that you could practically shave with. It arrives in a cheap plastic box, and the customs slip lists the price as £70 instead of the £180 you actually pay. On top of that, expect another £10–£15 in bank transaction fees. Avoid Vostok 24 watches and avoid this seller at all costs.
1. Shipping costs and delivery time
€17.50 for shipping from Russia to Great Britain is very inexpensive. For comparison, shipping such a watch from Germany to Great Britain costs €19.49, and Germany is practically next door to Great Britain. As far as the delivery time is concerned, 3–4 weeks is also very reasonable. I would like to remind you that Russia is currently subject to sanctions and the Russian Post cannot deliver directly. Therefore, shipments are handled via various third countries. Under these conditions, 3–4 weeks is actually still to be considered very fast.
Regarding the data protection violation, unfortunately I cannot comment on that. This is the first time I have heard of such a case, and it was certainly not caused by us.
2. Returning the watch
Regarding the return of the watch, we did receive your question by email, but unfortunately we were unable to send you a positive reply because our emails were sent via various servers and in every case we received the response that the message could not be delivered. I do not know what the reason for this is. Of course you can return the watch. For that it simply has to be sent back to Russia.
3. The quality of the watch
Vostok watches are famous for their robustness and build quality. That is precisely why they are appreciated and purchased by many customers worldwide. And as mentioned, if you do not like the watch, you are welcome to return it as long as it is unworn and in new condition.
As for the box in which the watch is delivered, I have to agree with you. It is not particularly high-quality, but firstly it is the original Vostok box, and secondly it is really the contents that matter, not the outward appearance of the packaging.
4. Declared customs value
Yes, we declare the shipment with a slightly lower price. However, this generally benefits the buyer, as they have to pay less customs duty. If the buyer would like an invoice with the original prices, we are happy to issue one on request. That is no problem.
